Apr\u00e8s avoir \u00e9t\u00e9 officiellement diagnostiqu\u00e9e avec le syndrome de Loeys-Dietz (variation SMAD-3) en octobre 2021 et avoir d\u00fb reporter mes \u00e9tudes sup\u00e9rieures, je savais que ma vie serait remplie de nouveaux d\u00e9fis.<\/p>\n

Pendant mon diagnostic, je me souviens de ce sentiment \u00e9crasant d’anxi\u00e9t\u00e9, de stress et de peur, et du fait que j’aurais aim\u00e9 avoir quelqu’un \u00e0 qui parler qui puisse se rapporter \u00e0 mon exp\u00e9rience personnelle du SLD.<\/p>\n

Ainsi, lorsque j’ai \u00e9t\u00e9 pr\u00e9sent\u00e9e \u00e0 la Fondation en mai 2022, j’ai lanc\u00e9 l’id\u00e9e d’une nouvelle initiative de soutien pour les Canadiens atteints de SLD.<\/p>\n

Actuellement, je suis b\u00e9n\u00e9vole aupr\u00e8s de la Fondation pour faire en sorte que les patients atteints de SLD disposent de ressources, de connaissances et d’un soutien global suffisants dans leur parcours de SLD – du diagnostic initial aux luttes quotidiennes.<\/p>\n
