To mark Valentine's Day, Karen Schollhammer organized a coffee morning where she educated a group of London, England, mothers about Loeys-Dietz syndrome. Since then, Karen has participated in a mud run and a Sprint distance triathlon in London’s Hyde Park.
But that’s not all: in August, she will participate in an Olympic-distance triathlon. So far, Karen has raised a little over 2,000£ (over 3,500 Canadian dollars) for Great Ormond Street Hospital’s Inherited Cardiac Unit, which follows Loeys-Dietz pediatric patients, and has educated many people about Loeys-Dietz syndrome. And she’s not yet finished!
Well done, Karen, and thank you!
